The Bonding Conference Committee approved $ 1,000,000 in bonding for the Victory Memorial Drive improvements. This money along with $3,500,000 Hennepin County has committed to the project will insure that Victory Memorial Drive is restored to a place that honors our World War I Veterans.

The Bonding Bill was passed by both houses and sent to the Governor. Thanks to the support of veterans the $1,000,000 for Victory Memorial Drive was signed into law by Governor Pawlenty.

Presidential Memorial Certificates (VA Form 40-0247)

A Presidential Memorial Certificate (PMC) is an engraved paper certificate, signed by the current President, to honor the memory of honorably discharged deceased veterans.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administers the PMC program by preparing the certificates which bear the current President’s signature expressing the country’s grateful recognition of the veteran’s service in the United States Armed Forces.

Veteran Service Officers and Funeral Homes may request the certificate or you may find details by going to pmc va.gov

For assistance with other VA benefits or records please use the “Contact the VA” link. Or call your Regional office at: 1-800-827-1000.
